I started off with the player but as our teams got reworked I got handed off to other tasks. One of the more memorable tasks was the shark enemy. One of our level designers, Oliver Ringh, requested a moving target that would adapt its speed based on a predicted collision to make sure that the player always ends up meeting the sharks regardless of how many speed boosts the player picked up. The game had mostly stationary targets so when we added a mobile one it was a fun change.
Game name
We needed a name and nobody suggested anything so I just gave a suggestion. Figured it could have a double meaning because we all had just returned to school and the fish was trying to get back to its school.
